About Mrs. Noya

Welcome to second grade! This is my third year in second grade and I love it! I’m so grateful my teaching journey has led me here. I have been teaching for nearly twenty years. I taught third and fourth grades in Dallas ISD.  I was also the Spanish teacher here at St. Patrick School for 8 years full-time, and several years part-time.

My bachelor’s degree is in psychology from SMU. I got certified in bilingual education from Mountain View College shortly after graduating. I also just finished my online religious education from the University of Dayton.

My husband and I have two kids, both SPS alumni. We truly love the SPS community and feel blessed to be a part of it. Our oldest just graduated from Texas Tech and he will be teaching 5th grade science in Plano ISD. Our daughter is a senior at Bishop Lynch and is excited to start her college search. We love to travel and when we can we go back to Bolivia to visit family and friends.

Working with children and helping them grow in their faith is what I enjoy most. My favorite quote is from Dr. Scott Hann  “A joyful Catholic is God’s greatest instrument.” I hope to be an instrument of God for your children and share with them my love of reading and our Catholic faith!
