Extended Day Program
Open each school day, the Extended Day Program provides before and after school care for full time PreK3/4 to 8th grade students. Children in our PreK3/4 and Kindergarten classes have the opportunity to participate in group play, individual play, and outside play opportunities.
For children in 1st to 8th grade, our program facilitates homework opportunities including using technology for our children in junior high. All children in grades 1st to 8th have the opportunity for group play inside and outside as well as individual play in these spaces.
Our program utilizes the space of our campus so that children in similar grades are able to play together. We also provide arts and crafts, special celebrations, and bad weather activities as needed. Our junior high children (and 5th graders) have the opportunity for unstructured social time at the beginning of their Extended Day experience. All children receive a snack as part of the Extended Day Program.
Amy Lucido, MS, CCLS, the Director of our Extended Day Program, is a certified Child Life Specialist with a Master of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, and a Master of Science in Recreation and Leisure Studies. She welcomes your e-mails should you have any questions concerning these programs. firstname.lastname@example.org.
All families register with the Extended Day Program and pay the Extended Day registration fee at confirmation of registration. Extended Day is only available to St. Patrick School students. Specific policies and procedures regarding the program are published in the Extended Day Handbook.
*The SPS Extended Day program is offered as a service and a convenience for our families. If your child has an after school activity that begins later than 3:30 p.m., the extended day fees apply as your child is participating in the extended day programming.
