SPS Guidance and Counseling Program
The Counseling Program
Purpose
The purpose of the counseling program is to contribute in a positive way to the biopsychosocial and academic development of our students and support a positive school environment for their spiritual and emotional growth to flourish. I want to give the students the tools and ability to manage the expectations of a school environment while still being able to find ways to express their authentic selves. I support the students through guidance education, small groups and individual sessions, crisis management, skill development, symptom management for those who have learning and social emotional struggles. I also provide support to parents and families walking this journey with our students in the form of meetings, support plans, and emotional support. I rely on our shared goal of student development and success to guide us in supporting our children to be the best version of themselves.

I am so excited to be at St. Patrick Catholic School. It’s almost unbelievable that I get to work with your kids and the adults we entrust with our children every day. I consider myself very lucky. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas. I have my M.Ed. in Human Development and Marriage and Family Counseling; my undergraduate degrees are in History and the Development of the English Language. Yes, I am a history nerd! I come from a private practice setting, working one on one with individuals and families, helping them navigate a variety of life’s challenges and diagnosing and treating mental health disorders. I will use my skills and knowledge to help support our students and families in getting the most out of their time at SPS.
Thank you for entrusting your children to me and I invite you to reach out with any questions or to request a meeting so that we can brainstorm on how best I can support your student or family.
