About Mrs. Lisa Buechel

Welcome to First Grade! My name is Lisa Buechel and this is the beginning of my 33rd year teaching First Grade at St. Patrick Catholic School. I grew up in Dallas and am a proud alumnus of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School, Ursuline Academy and Texas Tech University. I enjoy reading, watching movies, cooking and spending time with my family and friends. I am married and have two sons, a daughter, and a daughter-in-law.  My husband, Tom, and our three children are graduates of St. Patrick Catholic School.

I have had the honor of experiencing this wonderful St. Patrick Community both as a teacher and a parent.  In the Spring of 2018, I was honored to receive Notre Dame Club of Dallas Teacher of the Year award.  First Grade is a very exciting year. My goal is for your child to enjoy coming to school each day by providing a safe, fun and nurturing place for them to grow and learn, and to educate and guide them while celebrating their uniqueness.
