About Ms. Monica Nelson

Welcome! 

I am the 6A homeroom teacher, and the math teacher for 6th and 7th grade. This is my fourth year at St. Patrick, and I am very excited to be back. Before this, I taught 7^th and 8^th grade math for two years at a charter school in Coppell.  

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from UNT with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies 4^th-8^th Math. Math has always been my favorite subject. I really enjoy teaching math and incorporating projects that demonstrate how math is used in real life.  

I love the community and environment at St. Patrick. I am looking forward to the upcoming school year.  I know it will be a great year!
