About Mrs. Janet Gonzalez
Hello! My name is Janet Gonzalez, and I am so excited to be joining the 5th and 6th grade Math team this year.
Teaching has been one of my greatest passions for many years. I have spent over five years teaching math and science and have also had the privilege of working with elementary and middle school students as a substitute teacher in several Catholic schools throughout the Dallas area. I earned my undergraduate degree from Baylor University and later completed my master's degree in London, an experience that helped grow my love of learning, travel, and exploring different cultures.
I am the proud mother of three wonderful children who keep life exciting and full of adventure. As a family, we love traveling, discovering new places, trying foods from around the world, and making memories together. Some of my favorite hobbies include cooking, swimming, tennis, and golf.
One of the things I love most about teaching math is helping students build confidence and discover that they are capable of much more than they think. I believe learning should be engaging, challenging, and fun, and I cannot wait to help students grow as mathematicians and problem solvers this year.
I look forward to getting to know each student and family and making this a fantastic year together!
