About Nancy Ferry

Welcome to Kindergarten! I am so excited to work with you and your student this year. It’s going to be so much fun!

I am so grateful to be beginning my second year teaching Kindergarten at St. Patrick Catholic School and my eighth year serving in the Diocese of Dallas as a classroom, teacher. Although Kindergarten has truly captured my heart, I have been blessed to teach in many different roles over the past 15 years—including classroom teacher, substitute teacher, and faith formation catechist—with experience working with students from Pre-K through 12th grade.

I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Elementary Education (Boomer Sooner!), but my greatest passion has always been helping children discover the joy of learning while growing in their relationship with Christ in our Catholic faith. I believe Kindergarten is a year of wonder and discovery, where children build a strong foundation not only for reading, writing, and mathematics, but also for kindness, confidence, curiosity, a lifelong love of learning, and a love for their faith. It is a privilege to help each child recognize that they are deeply loved by God and capable of doing beautiful things.

My family includes my husband, Richard, our wonderful children, Davis and Veronica, and a menagerie of pets (some of which may make classroom appearances throughout the year!). We love living in Lake Highlands and we have been proud parishioners of St. Patrick Catholic Church since 2017. My husband serves as the Director of Advancement at our school, Veronica is a St. Patrick student, and Davis is a proud Boy Scout in 719 and an altar server, making this community especially dear to our family. Outside the classroom, I enjoy creating artwork, camping, reading, and exploring the beauty of our Catholic faith. I look forward to partnering with you to make your child’s Kindergarten year one filled with faith, joy, growth, and lasting memories.
