Required Summer Work
The goal of Summer Work at St. Patrick Catholic School is to keep students engaged in learning over the summer break and avoid the "Summer Slide". “Summer slide” is a loss of learning students experience over the long summer break because they don’t practice essential skills. While we understand that some children might resist reading during the summer, research shows that, regardless of the form it takes, summer reading leads to academic gains, which support students throughout their lives.
Please click on the grade level in the menu to download all information regarding your student's summer work requirements. Students can access IXL by going to "Digital Resources" and "Classlink" on the school website. Please contact your child's teacher for next year with any questions.
