About Mrs. Chris

Hello, my name is Mario John Chris. I was born in India, and after moving to the United States as a young boy, I've been all over the country.

 

Most recently, I lived in California, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering from Stanford University, and my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from San Jose State University (SJSU). I taught rhetorical writing at SJSU for three semesters, and I have tutored college and high school students in a wide range of subjects, including math, science, writing, and standardized testing for several years.

 

When I'm not working with my students, I enjoy reading novels, writing stories, cooking new recipes, drinking tea, or going for a stroll. I appreciate traditional liturgies, such as the Latin Mass and the Melkite Divine Liturgy, which are offered near Dallas. My family is very important to me, and I visit them whenever I can. I especially love reading to my little nieces and goofing around with them.

 

I chose to come teach at SPS because I value the opportunity to apply my God-given talents for the building up of Catholic children. I look forward to growing in my faith, alongside my brothers and sisters in Christ who belong to the SPS community.
