Wonder Enrichment

The Wonder Enrichment program at St. Patrick Catholic School seeks to challenge all students to reach for higher levels of cognitive thought and to engender in them the wonder and joy of learning by challenging the student with new ways of thinking. Higher order thinking skills which include critical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving, communication, and inventive thinking will be emphasized. This program is implemented in two ways:

 

 

  • Whole Group Class Activities: The Enrichment teacher will visit each class every other week. The class activities seek to expand the student's thinking skills.
  • Content Area Pull Out: This program is available to qualified students in grades 1-6. Grade level groups will meet weekly to study and engage in long-term project based learning. The areas of content are Math, English Language Arts, Science and Social Studies.
