About Ms. Tatum Winans

Hello!

My name is Tatum Winans and I am from Dallas, TX. I am honored to be a part of the St. Patrick community. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dallas Baptist University in December 2022 with a degree in English Language Arts and Reading 4-8 Education. I was awarded The Education Deans of Independent Colleges & Universities of Texas Preservice Educator of the Year Award during my semester of Clinical Teaching. While a student at Dallas Baptist University I served as the Vice President and Treasurer of the Student Education Association.

I am very close with my family and love spending time with them. I have two siblings who are twins, Mia and Trip. I am a proud dog mom of a Yorkie puppy named Scout. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, riding my Peloton, and traveling. Growing up I was an equestrian, and I love riding horses any chance I get.

God has placed a calling in a teacher’s heart to pursue this profession and make a difference in the classroom. I am a life-long learner and I find it rewarding to watch students accomplish their academic goals. Each day is different and holds something exciting and challenging. I love building relationships with my students, learning about their interests, and watching them become the people God intends them to be.
