Welcome! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Therese Sabine and I am the counselor at St. Patrick Catholic School.
As the school counselor, I collaborate with parents, the administration, and teachers to create a foundation for each student’s success. I also assist students with their academic, personal, and social development. I look forward to collaborating with you to ensure that your child has a joyful, productive school year.
I am a native of Davenport, Iowa, and a graduate of St. Mary's College, Notre Dame. I received a MA in Education/Counseling from St. Louis University. I have been blessed to work at St. Patrick School for 34 years. Prior to St. Patrick, I taught at Holy Trinity School, Dallas; Bishop DuBurgh High School, St. Louis; St. Cecilia School, St Louis; and worked as a lay missionary with the Holy Cross Sisters in Parana, Brazil.
I have been married to, John, for 37 years. We have two children, John and Kathleen, who are both proud graduates of St. Patrick School. We are all so grateful to be a part of the St. Patrick Family!
I received The Work of the Heart Award in 2007, The Hesburgh Excellence in Teaching Award for 2011, and was St. Patrick Teacher of the Year in the 2012-13 academic year. When I am not teaching, I enjoy working with the St. Patrick Refugee Outreach Program.
