About Me

I have been teaching at St. Patrick for 22 years, but I am in my 32nd year of teaching, having previously taught in DISD and RISD. I was born in the small town of Electra, TX, west of Wichita Falls. I spent my childhood and adolescence in Corpus Christi, having attended St. Theresa Catholic School and Incarnate Word Academy. I received my BS in Education from Texas A & I Kingsville, and my masters in elementary education from UNT.

I have two daughters who both attended St. Patrick and Bishop Lynch High School. Both of my girls graduated from Texas A & M, College Station, and are both gainfully employed. My older daughter, Amy, works for an advertising agency in Dallas, and Blair teaches 1st grade.

In addition to teaching 5th grade,I enjoy reading and being with friends. I was honored to have received the Work of Heart Award in the spring of 2012. I am looking forward to another great year of teaching at St. Patrick.
