About Mrs. Cheryl Gilmore

Welcome 7th and 8th grade STEM geniuses! My name is Cheryl Gilmore.
I am thrilled and honored to join the Saint Patrick staff, leading 7th and 8th-grade science classes. I grew up in Hixson, Tennessee where I attended St. Jude Parish. I am a proud graduate of both the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University where I earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s degree in educational leadership. In my free time, I enjoy sewing and quilting as my stress relief and emotional therapy. My husband and I are beekeepers and can talk for hours about our bees! We have two adult children who have left the nest but thankfully still live in the Dallas area.
I view and teach science from the perspective of God’s creation. God created us in His image and therefore we are builders, thinkers, and designers. He gave us science so that through it we may discover Him. I marvel at the divine and intricate fabric that God has woven into our world, even at a level that is too small for the human eye to see, and I am so excited to share it with our students. I enjoy developing a love of learning with a goal of personal greatness in my classes.
This is going to be a great year at Saint Patrick and I am excited to be a part of it.
