About Mrs. Suzanne Adams
Hello! I am very excited to join St. Patrick Catholic School as a 4th grade teacher. I would love for you to get to know me a bit better. I have a wonderful husband of 16 years. We met at Starbucks in San Diego and well, the rest is history. We have three beautiful children. Allie, 15 years old in 11th grade, Will 14 years old in 9th grade, and Heidi, 12 years old in 7th grade here at St. Patrick. They are my reason for everything! I absolutely love and adore them. Allie is a rugby player and I seem to constantly be on the field watching and cheering her on. Will runs track and is always found at a skateboard park learning some type of new trick. Heidi enjoys tennis, lacrosse and paddle boarding and keeps trying to talk us into horseback riding. We also have two puppies: an Irish Doodle, Duke and a mini Aussie, Roxy. Both are balls of energy and a ton of love.
I graduated from Cal State Northridge and jumped right into teaching. I worked at a Catholic school near my childhood home and was the only lay teacher my first year. Now that was an experience! I cherish those memories and lessons the sisters gave me. The sisters truly taught me more than I ever could have imagined. I vowed then that I would only teach at Catholic schools. I love the whole child approach and believe faith is essential to learning. Once I was married, I took a few years off of teaching while my kiddos were super little. I came back to the classroom in North Carolina and taught for several years in kindergarten and 1st grade. Our family then moved to Idaho and I taught there as well at two Catholic schools. My husband and I moved our family here to Texas this summer.
We are finally moving into our new house in late August. In the meantime, we are soaking up family time with grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. It has been a very long time since we lived close to family. This is amazing! I never realized how much I have longed for a Sunday dinner. I look forward to meeting new families and being a part of your children’s lives. Many, many blessings for you all!
